NCDXF announces grant to TX5K Clipperton Island DXpedition
January 9, 2013
The Northern California DX Foundation is pleased to announce a grant to the TX5K Clipperton Island DXpedition. The operation will take place from late February to mid-March 2013. Clipperton Island is a much-needed entity, especially in Europe.
A multi-national team of 27 veteran DXpeditioners will have as many as 10 stations operating on all bands including six meters. The group will offer the DXA software, first used at the K7C Kure Island DXpedition, to enable DXers to confirm QSOs within one minute after the QSO, among other displays.
The team also has a group of scientists who will be undertaking various scientific projects on the island. Extensive information about the DXpedition is available at www.Cordell.org/CI.
For more than 40 years, NCDXF has funded major DXpeditions to many Most Wanted countries. The credit for these large grants goes to the NCDXF contributors who make DX like this possible. Have you contributed yet? www.ncdxf.org
